The universe is vast and so is the information. The richness of information cannot be cope within the standard of human intellect. That is why, it is important to learn as much as we can, and move forward living a good life based on what we know and what we think is right. Does a person who knows a lot make him intelligent? I believe in knowing, understanding, and action. That makes a man a true intellectual. After reviewing my classmates’ works, I was enlightened more that intelligence is complex, no genuine definition, and it is very broad in nature, just like the universe.
Academic achievement is not the only basis of intelligence contrary to the traditional belief. It is a factor, but not always the case. My understanding is that it comes from different angle of a person’s capabilities and skills. It is on how he can make the most out of those skills and capabilities to put into actions and improve his life. It is by using a specific skills to understand the nature of life and identify problems and find solutions. It is by using his mind to create and strategize something to make his work easier. It is by sharing his ideas that would convince others to trust him. It is by using his ability to dance perfectly and creates and art that inspire others. It is my using his voice in good tone that would make others listen and appreciate the beauty of music. It is by using his ability to play basketball, badminton, and volley ball and let people know that sportsmanship is important in the game.
As you can see, intelligence is not just academics. It is using the knowledge and skills to make to improve yourself and inspire people. It is very complex and infinite, just like the universe.
